25 years ago, in 1985, Ip and Denise had a bioshop and mini eating-place ‘The Lotus’, symbol of purity, 50 meters from here at the corner of Oudburg. They were idealistic, young and somewhat naive. The shop’s supplies were carefully selected and of high bio-quality. Both were convinced: we only live once, let us give the best of mother nature to our body and let us protect nature and the environment. The pilot shop was small, original and looked like a museum. Many visitors were surprised and a number kept returning.

 

25 years on, they are very proud of their durable achievement. The Lotus became Panda, one of most renowned vegetarian restaurants in Ghent and beyond. Thousands of delicious and healthy meals have been digested by thousands of stomachs and souls.

 

These meals are prepared with special attention to combination, variety, beauty and harmony of ingredients by an ever faithful crew. Nearly all, up to the smallest ingredients are of biological quality and free of genetic manipulation to ensure maximum purity. Last but not least, the dishes are done with environment friendly products.
